First and foremost I’d like to help keep the momentum going in increasing and broadening our membership. Strength both in numbers and in diversification. We have many battles to fight on many fronts. Second, I’d like us to consider being a little more tech savvy, maybe a social media presence? I am not sure my thoughts are fully baked, but maybe being a little more proactive in terms of celebrating and defending our industry to these consumer group barrages. And then third, I am a big believer in adult education. I’d like to explore including a scholarship for our processor employ- ees pursuing degrees in any field related to food production. A lot of our food processor employees went to work right out of high school and have grown and developed their careers with many of them in or aspiring to be in supervisory or managerial positions. They are some of our greatest assets. It would be great to reward them for their efforts and give them a leg up on their dream of pursuing a degree. Musco Family Olive Company
