For example, to provide the food needed to feed this state and country, we need a consistent, reliable water source. Despite the fact that our state’s reservoirs are being filled to near capacity, communities to the south, including those in the region I represent, will not receive the water they need. Our state needs to begin building the water infrastructure voters approved so we can provide water to all areas of this state. Senate Republicans have proposed legislation that will get these projects moving forward by streamlining duplicative environmental red tape.
