The Food Processing Expo

continues to grow in

attendance and popularity each year with the 2015 Expo

bringing together more than 2,100 industry members

from throughout the U.S. and other countries. In addition,

more than 250 industry suppliers exhibited state-of-the-

art equipment, technology and services.

Held February 18-19 at the Sacramento Convention

Center, the Expo featured a variety of topical educational

sessions led by industry experts, including Thomas

Marihart from Western Energy Systems discussing

Managing Emissions & Energy Costs in California, Sanjar

Taromi fromBiofiltro US onWasteWater Management via

Biological Filtration and Richard Wegner of Faegre Baker

Daniels on Food Labeling Issues. Legendary MLB player

Dusty Baker helped launch the Expo as the featured

speaker at the kick-off breakfast.

This Expo included the popular Tasting Pavilion where

attendees sampled a variety of food products produced

by CLFP processor members, as well as UC Davis and

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The pavilion also included

Member and Market Sample Displays, the 7th Annual

Vegetable, Fruit and Nut Putting Contest and industry

networking events.

The well-attended Supplier Host Council Reception &

Silent Auction raised more than $25,000 for the CLFP

Scholarship Fund, which supports higher education for

more than 20 California students each year.
