Leading Food Processor with multiple entities has two(2) openings for a Senior Accountant to be based near Hanford.
This position is responsible for:
- Assists in the execution of external audits;
- Review and analyze balance sheet account information from the AAS accounting system;
- Responsible for the closing of books for 7+ companies;
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports;
- Prepares property tax returns timely for all companies;
- Prepares sales tax returns timely for all companies;
- Calculate monthly commissions for brokers in a timely manner;
- Assist with the preparation of supporting income tax schedules;
- Maintenance of the fixed asset and depreciation subledger for all companies;
- Responsible for the reconciliation of all bank accounts and investment accounts;
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A four-year degree in accounting or related discipline or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years professional experience in accounting, preferably in food/ag manufacturing
- Strong excel skills
- MUST be available to work extended days and hours during the fresh pack season (approximately July through September)
